my boyfriends computer just crashed. we just got cable/internet/ phone installed by shaw today. firstly, he turned the computer off and went to restart it. the following message appeared! “Windows could not start because the following file is missin or corrupt : \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM You can attemt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD-ROM. Select ‘r’ at the first screen to start repair.” However, the problem is that we do not own the windows xp professional setup or recovery disc. i tried downloading one but it won’t read that either. I cannot even access the recovery console. Please Help ASAP thanks!!!!
