It all depends what needs to be fixed. If they can’t fix the problem you can ask for a replacement phone. I paid $30 for my replacement phone b/c they didn’t know what the problem was. Repairs could cost from free to $50+ .

It could be $50 or below. You can call the manufacture of the phone & ask if they’ll repair it for cheaper too. If you do warranty, then warranty would just send you a refurbished phone.

if you have insurance, you should be covered if the damage is considered caused by internal factors. If it has water damage, this is a different story.
You are covered by the warranty for one year so it may be a good idea to contact the manufacturer of the device to see if it is a known issue or if they would replace the phone.
